Quo Vadis Interfaith Dialogue Center
Quo Vadis — Where Are You Going?
For several years LPGM has been supporting Quo Vadis (Latin for Where Are You Going?) Interfaith Dialogue Center started by the Arcot Lutheran Church (ALC) in India. The Center is located in a Hindu holy city where Indians and tourists alike come seeking meaning in religion. Quo Vadis has guest rooms for rent, a popular café serving food that appeals to tourists, a library, computers to be rented for short term use, meeting rooms, and they offer daily discussions and meditations on faith. To have a Christian presence there encouraging dialogue between religions and introducing people to Christianity is an important ministry of the ALC. LPGM pledged funds to help cover the start-up and initial program support of this center. Now the support of all its programming will come from Danmission but LPGM has a deficit due to inadequate donor gifts over the past few years. In addition, Rev. Joshua Peter, Quo Vadis manager, has requested a new van for the center to use for staff, traveling presentations and transporting food and other needed supplies to operate the center. A new
vehicle, estimated to cost $20,000, will replace one that is very old and costly to maintain. If LPGM could raise $15,000 we believe that Quo Vadis could raise the remaining through other sources. If you feel called to this unique type of ministry, any amount you can contribute to cover either the programming expense or the cost of a new van would be a welcome blessing.
