One Day from our Mission Trip

Trinity Long Lake, Minnesota, to San Pablo Congregation, San Miguel, Argentina

Saturday morning we loaded our mini bus with suitcases full of used clothing and bags of mandarin oranges and cookies for the yard sale at Emanuel Mission. What a day! The congregation members were there with their own donations of treats and clothes. The kids in the neighborhood brought their parents, who were excited to shop.

The mission is San Pablo’s work with the children of this neighborhood. Fabian and members of San Pablo come out every week to do devotions and play soccer and teach the kids about what it means to be a child of God. These kids flock to the mission when they see them arrive. It’s amazing, the work that they are doing here, and it was a privilege to be a part of it for the day. We have forged some special and important relationships in the Holy Spirit.

At the end of the day, Fabian dug a hole in the corner of the yard and gathered us all around. He planted a tree as a symbol of the new friendships, and of the partnership that we are hoping to nurture and sustain.
