It’s all about the Children

That’s the first thought that comes to me as I reminisce about my once-in-a-lifetime experience in India.

What a heart-gripping day it was when I finally met Kani, the lovely young senior student at Siloam Boarding School, whom we have sponsored for several years. I didn’t understand the Tamil she spoke, but the Spirit intervened and we soon communicated with smiles and clasped hands. A visit to her home, a thatched hut, helped me realize what a blessing it was for her to become an educated young woman, prepare to enter a university soon, and perhaps even fulfill her dream to become a doctor.

LPGM opens doors and introduces these Indian boys and girls to a world of new possibilities, and to Christ. Kani once wrote to me, “I would never have known there was a Jesus, but now I do.”

Thanks to all you sponsors who love these children. My visit to India has broadened my world also. Who knows, I may see India again. It’s the land of harsh contrasts, stark poverty, but Oh! such beauty!
