You’ve probably heard stories like this.
B.J. Calvelage never married, or had children of his own. He was quiet, gentle and unassuming. He had a passion for providing care to children around the world. His generosity during his lifetime
was remarkable—at one point he sponsored 55 students!
Yet, B.J.’s impact didn’t end at his death. In 2012 he left a sizeable unrestricted financial gift to LPGM through his estate. With it, the Mission Development Fund was created.
The Mission Development Fund provides funding where it’s needed most in our global ministries. That’s not only vital to the sustainability of LPGM but to its growth and expansion as well.
Over the past six years, B.J.’s gift has helped support programs in Guatemala, India, C.A.R. and Nigeria, as well as administrative support. Just last year, Saron Boarding Home in India had a new roof installed, thanks to B.J. and other legacy donors.
