Sewing Machine in Tanzania

Learning sewing and tailoring skills provides young Tanzanian women with the skills needed to make a living independent from their family or marrying young. Many of these women ran away from home, escaping child marriage. When they complete our partner’s program, they are gifted their own sewing machine, which will provide them with a source of income for years to come.
