 Visit a Mwangaza Partner School(SAMPLE ITINERARY)Visit one of Mwangaza's partner schools and meet with school staff and students. Learn about the transformational nonviolent communication work being done by the Mwangaza team.

 Visit a Maasai Village(SAMPLE ITINERARY)Visit a Maasai village and learn about Maasai village life. You may be given traditional Maasai jewelry and be wrapped in Shukas (vibrant cloth worn by Maasai with rich historical and cultural significance).

 Experience a Mwangaza Peace Summit(SAMPLE ITINERARY)Experience a Peace Summit at one of Mwangaza's partner schools. Sit at the head table as each participating school performs skits, songs, dances, and poetry for you.

What isn't included?
- Airfare. We often help with booking, but you will be responsible for the cost of your flights to and from India.
- Passport & Visas. You will need a passport with at least six months until expiration beyond your travel dates. In addition, a visa from the Indian Government is required for an extra cost.
- Vaccinations and preventative drugs. We suggest visiting a special travel clinic. Cost depends upon your insurance, copays and prescription benefits.
- Alcoholic Beverages. These can be purchased on your own.
- Other Personal Expenses. Shopping, souveniers, additional snacks or beverages you may choose to purchase during your trip.

What is the travel like? Traveling to Tanzania usually takes about one day and at least two flights. In 2025, travelers flew from Minneapolis to Amsterdam and then from Amsterdam to Arusha. Once in-country, you'll generally be driven around in a Jeep by a driver who stays with you for the entire trip.

Where will we stay? You'll usually stay at comfortable safari lodges throughout the entire trip, including places like Ilboru safari lodge, Airport planet lodge, Karatu villa lodge, and Tarangire Safari Lodge. 
- 
What will we eat? You'll try traditional Tanzanian dishes like grilled meat, babana stew, fried bread, rice and beans, local fruits, and meat/veggies curries. Vegetarian diets can be accommodated. Do I need to speak the language?Swahili (Kiswahili) is the language of many people here, but there are other languages spoken, too. English is a common and unifying language.
