Bearing Witness to Hope

LPGM Book
Bearing Witness to Hope
Visions of Global Partnership

Through its collection of full-color photographs, reflections, and memories, this book chronicles Lutheran Partners in Global Ministry from its inception following the tragic death of Tim Olson to its current programs, people and impact. This book is a celebration of global partnership with stories and quotes from many people involved throughout the history of LPGM. It celebrates what this ministry has been and has grown to become since the founders' early dream more than 25 years ago.

On Saturday, November 13, 2021, we celebrated 25(+1) years of Lutheran Partners in Global Ministry. There are several videos you can view via the links in each section below.

It was a joyous celebration with participation from our partners in the Arcot Lutheran Church in India and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Central African Republic.

Greetings from the Arcot Lutheran Church

It's a joy to hear the Gospel read in languages other than English. Even when we don't understand what's being spoken, hearing the words in the native tongue of others can open us up to new experiences of faith. We heard Luke 5:17-26 read in Sango  (the primary language spoken in the Central African Republic) by Pastor Ringo Pierre Hamoa. And in Tamil (the primary language spoken in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu) by Dhanush Tennal, a student at the Saron Boarding Home.

The Gospel in Sango and Tamil

We heard the Gospel come to life from The Rev. Rebecca Gamble, pastor of mission and outreach at Normandale Lutheran Church in Edina, Minnesota.

Guest Preacher

Worship wouldn't be complete without music. Students from the Arcot Lutheran Church provided prayers in song.
