Big News & A New Chapter for Sponsor Relations Coordinator, Aswini!
Aswini Subramani began her role at LPGM India in July of 2022. Almost four years later, she has become a beloved member of the LPGM team, and she has made an indelible mark on Siloam Boarding Home.
As Siloam's Sponsor Relations Coordinator, Aswini acts as a representative for LPGM, helps plan campus events, manages communication between sponsors and students, and assists LPGM's communication manager Shannon with stories, photos, and videos from Siloam.
She has built deep relationships with the students at Siloam, and they affectionately call her "akka" (அக்கா), or elder sister.
With bittersweet feelings, Aswini recently shared that she would be getting married, moving to a new city, and leaving her role at LPGM.
She shared, "I am deeply grateful for the support, encouragement, and camaraderie I have received during my tenure [at LPGM]. Working alongside such dedicated colleagues has been an enriching experience, and I will truly miss being part of this team."
She continued, "I have gathered so many good things from LPGM."
She gushes, "My marriage has been scheduled for June 4, and I am excited to begin this new chapter in my life."
Her husband-to-be, Sangeeth raj, is a kind man. She and Sangeeth raj will be moving to Bangalore a month after their wedding. Bangalore is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka, and it is about a 4.5-hour drive from Siloam. It is known as India's "garden city," due to its plentiful green spaces.
We are sending blessings and well wishes to the happy couple as they begin their new life.
In fact, Aswini - and the rest of the LPGM India team - made a big impact on LPGM travelers during February 2026's journey to India, so the travelers recorded congratulatory messages for her and Sangeeth raj during the trip reunion this past month.
Aswini's official last day is Thursday, April 30. The LPGM India team is currently interviewing candidates for her role at Siloam Boarding Home.
While the team searches for a replacement, we kindly ask that Siloam sponsors are patient, as it may take longer than usual to receive a reply from your student.
Students are currently on summer break and will begin returning to Siloam in June.
