It's Time for a Spring Refresh!
Update from August 12, 2024: Maintanence projects are in full swing at the boarding homes, we invite you to check out our new blog post to stay up-to-date on their progress.
Written by Mary Peterson, LPGM Program Director
As I begin to take on spring projects around my home, I can’t help but think of the many projects that need attention in the boarding homes in India.
Visiting India in February, I saw firsthand crucial aspects of maintenance and repair that have unfortunately gone unaddressed at the four boarding homes where LPGM-sponsored students live and study: Saron, Siloam, Melpattambakkam, and Kalrayan Hills.
This is simply due to lack of funds.
Our partner, the Arcot Lutheran Church (ALC), which owns and operates the boarding homes, and our India-based staff have identified three critical priorities for facility improvements:
Students finished their exams and departed from the boarding homes in April.
NOW – while students are away on summer break – is the perfect time to repair and refresh the boarding homes!

You can likely understand the importance of safe shelter, nutritious food, medical care, spiritual enrichment, and access to a quality education, which sponsorships through LPGM cover.
You also surely understand how important it is to invest in the physical space where students live and study.
Today, we are calling on you to help fund urgent repairs and refresh the boarding homes as soon as possible.
Will you join me in tangibly improving the boarding homes now, during their summer break? Please respond by June 15, 2024.

Great news! The ALC is so invested in the well-being of their boarding students that they will invest in up to 20% of the total cost of the refresh!
Thank you in advance for contributing to this critical initiative.
