Students in India Return to School (Again)

Since our partner schools and boarding homes shut down more than 600 days ago due to the pandemic, LPGM sponsors have continued to care for the needs of their students.

This has included purchase and delivery of food and supplies and offering safe, outdoor educational events in the villages. Sponsorships have also allowed us to keep paying boarding homes and staff salaries. This has been such a blessing in uncertain times!

After a few false starts, 9th through 12th standard (grade) students were allowed to return to school on September 1. All students have automatically been promoted two standards, so those who left as 11th or 12th standard students are now considered to have graduated and will not return.

It may be several weeks before we have a good sense of how many of our LPGM-sponsored students will come back. Our goal is for these students to return to the safety, routine, nutrition, and spiritual and medical care of the boarding homes, which is often lacking at home.

Through all this, we continue to walk alongside our neighbors, sharing the love of Christ as we provide what we can to ensure the students are cared for. Thank you for your support and prayers.
